BM DCH DFFP DRCOG DCH DGM MRCGP (Southampton 1991)
I qualified at Southampton University Medical School in 1991, having completed my GP training in West London. I joined Glenlyn Medical Centre as a partner in 1996. I enjoy all aspects of community care and am pleased to say that Glenlyn offers a diverse service to our patients. I have also been a GP Trainer since 2000 and advocate a strong teaching culture in the practice. More recently we have developed a range of community clinics offering patients the opportunity to see a specialist at a local surgery rather than in hospital.

MBChB MRCGP (Capetown 1995)
I grew up in South Africa and qualified in 1995 from the University of Cape Town. I did my internship at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. From 1997 I spent 3 wonderful years in Yorkshire doing my GP training. After travelling widely I came back to London and joined the Glenlyn Medical Centre in 2001.
I really enjoy the continuity of care and the variety of General Practice but am particularly interested in Minor Surgery, Joint Injections and Paediatrics. I am also a GP Trainer, teaching junior doctors to become GPs. Glenlyn has been a teaching practice for many years and this contributes to keeping our medical standards very high.
I am heavily involved in Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). This is an organisation that determines the health provision for a wide geographical area that includes East Elmbridge. This is for all medical provision, mostly hospital, out-patient and community care and not just GP care. I have a keen interest in ensuring that East Elmbridge patients are well catered for. Unfortunately this draws me from full time General Practice.

I am of British background, but grew up in South Africa and qualified in Cape Town. I initially did GP training in the UK from 1993 to 1995 and returned to Cape Town where I worked for myself in private practice until 2001, before returning back to the UK to resume a career in General Practice.
I am attracted by the diversity of everyday general practice and currently teach anatomy and clinical skills to third year medical students at St Georges Medical School. I also tutor final year medical students for St Georges and Barts and the London Medical Schools who spend some time with us at the surgery. In addition, I enjoy performing Minor Surgery and run a clinic every Thursday.
